Youth’s Palms Chopped Off For ‘Illicit Relationship’
Dhenkanal: In a shocking incident, a youth named Rajat Rout was stalked by two persons in a secluded place and both his hands were chopped off. This incident occurred in Jhumpuria village under Bhapur police limits in Dhenkanal district.
According to sources, Rajat, who is a bachelor, was having an illicit affair with a married woman of the village. When the matter came into light a month ago, both of them were reprimanded in a meeting conducted by the villagers. Rajat was also given a warning and was let off without any punishment.
After a month, the husband of the woman, Sushant Dhal and his brother Beda Dhal had come across the youth one night and had chopped off both his palms after taking him to a secluded place.
