Fire Breaks Out At Central Hospital Of MCL In Odisha’s Jharsugada
Jharsugada: At a time when the Odisha Government is probing the SUM Hospital fire tragedy, another similar incident happened on Sunday here at the Central Hospital of Mahanadi Coalfield Limited (MCL), the largest coal producing company in the country, leaving the X-ray room of the health centre completely damaged.
According to reports, the fire broke at around 5 pm on Sunday due to short circuit in air conditioner at the X-ray room of the hospital ans seeing the smoke some local people informed the fire tenders and hospital staff.
No one was in the affected room when the mishap happened, sources said.
On being informed, fire tenders and MCL rescue team rushed to the spot and doused the flame. No injuries or casualties were reported so far in the incident.
However, equipment inside the X-Ray room have suffered extensive damage, reports added
The 150-bedded hospital at Brajrajnagar in the Western Odisha district was established in 1982 and has been running with around 40 doctors.
