Noted Odia Poet Hrushikesh Mallick Bags Sarala Award-2016

Bhubaneswar: Noted Odia poet Dr Hrushikesh Mallick on Wednesday honoured with the 37th edition of prestigious Sarala Award for his outstanding poetry.

The annual award carries a cash prize of Rs 5 lakh and a citation conferred on Mallick for his poetry work "Jeje Dekhi Nathiba Bharat",

Mallick was presented the award by Chandrasekhar Kambar, vice-president of Kendra Sahitya Academy.

Besides, two more prominent personalities of Odisha honoured for their valuable contribution in the field of music and art. Dr Gopal Chandra Panda awarded with Ila Panda Memorial Music Samman while Dr Dinanath Pathi received Ila Panda Memorial Art Samman posthumously.
