Protest Rally For Release Of Manoj Nayak: 'Ye To Sirf Trailer Tha, Picture Abhi Baaki Hai...'

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Private Engineering College Association (OPECA) on Thursday staged a protest march here demanding the unconditional release of SUM hospital owner Manoj Nayak, who is currently lodged in Jharpara Jail, and claimed ‘this is just a trailer and we will show the main film later’.


OPECA is the body of 1,000 technical educational institutions and an umbrella organisation of six associations, OPECA, OPESA, OITIA, OPCA, OMCA and OPMADCA.
More than 10,000 employees of all technical institutions held a procession from Master Canteen Square to Lower PMG Square on Thursday afternoon pressing its demand to release the teacher-turned-tycoon who was arrested after two days 27 people killed in a fire mishap at the private hospital.
“Today, around 5 lakh students joined the protest march and if the Government doesn’t take any action then we will initiate our next course of action. This was a trailer and we will show main the film later,” claimed OPECA honorary secretary Binod Dash.
