Sterilization Surgery Goes Wrong, Doctor Cuts Urethra Of Woman In Odisha's Nayagarh | Odisha News
Nayagarh: Tension prevailed at Daspalla in Nayagarh district on Tuesday after a doctor wrongly operated the urethra of a woman during a family planning surgery at the local Community Health Centre (CHC).
Reportedly, the woman identified as Kalia Barad of Khandapada village had been admitted at the CHC on Monday for undergoing sterilization surgery.
However, the doctor attending Kalia wrongly operated on the urethra as a result her health turned critical. Family members rushed her to SCB Medical College & Hospital in Cuttack and lodged an FIR at Daspalla Police Station.
As the cops did not take any action on the complaint, hundreds of locals blocked NH-57 near the police station disrupting vehicular communication for hours.
