Bhubaneswar: Three exceptional journalists reporting on politics and environment and development issues will be conferred the Prem Bhatia Award, instituted in the memory of eminent journalist late Mr. Prem Bhatia.
Rajdeep Sardesai the well known media personality, and Consulting Editor India Today Group has been selected for The Prem Bhatia Award for excellence in political reporting.
Ishan Kukreti of Down to Earth and independent journalist Sharada Balasubramanian have been selected for Prem Bhatia Award for excellence in environmental and development reporting.
The awards will be presented at the 24th Prem Bhatia Memorial Lecture at the India International Centre on August 11th 2019, at 6.30 p.m. The annual lecture will be delivered by Admiral Arun Prakash (Retd.) former Chief of Naval Staff on “India’s Contemporary Security Challenges”.
