Padma Shri D Prakash Rao Hospitalised In Odisha’s SCB | Odisha News
Cuttack: Padma Shri D Prakash Rao, the famous tea seller from Cuttack, has been admitted at SCB Medical College & Hospital in Cuttack after he complained of chest pain on Tuesday.
Reportedly, Rao had gone to Angul to attend a programme when he fell ill. He was immediately rushed to Cuttack SCB where he has been admitted to the Medicine intensive care unit (ICU).
Rao had been awarded the Padma Shri on March 11 this year for his work towards providing education to slum children. He has also been a regular blood donor at the SCB Hospital and also provides boiled milk and water for free to the patients.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also paid Rao a visit in May last year and also mentioned him in his monthly radio programme Mann Ki Baat.
