Ganja Mafia Kingpin Injured In Police Encounter In Odisha's Koraput | Odisha News
Koraput: Dreaded ganja mafia kingpin Kabul Khara was injured in a police encounter near Hatisala Chowk in Jeypore of Koraput district in the wee hours of Wednesday.
Khara has been controlling a ganja syndicate from outside the State and more than five cases had been registered against him at different police stations including Borigumma, Nabarangpur, Sadar and Jeypore Town Police Station.
Acting on a tip off, Jeypore Police had intercepted Khara at the spot when he open fired two rounds on police. In retaliation police also fired three rounds at him in which he sustained gunshot injury to his right leg and admitted at DHH Koraput, Jeypore.
Police have seized a 7mm pistol with live ammunition from his possession. One Swift Dzire has also been seized from the spot.
