Kalahandi: Rerun of Dana Majhi case. A man's dead body was carried on a sling by his family members in Rampur block on Monday after Kaniguma health centre authorities allegedly refused to prove a hearse van.
The deceased has been identified as Nigidi Majhi of Balisara village.
Reportedly, he breathed his last while undergoing treatment in the health centre. When his family members asked for a hearse van, the authorities allegedly refused . Having no other option, the family members made a sling and carried the body for at least five kilometers in order to perform the last rites.
Meanwhile, Kalahandi CDMO immediately ordered a probe into the matter after visuals of the incident started doing rounds in social media.
