Odisha: 4-Yr-Old Sleeping Boy Locked Inside Anganwadi Centre In Kendrapara | Odisha News
Kendrapara: A four-year-old sleeping child was locked alone inside an Anganwadi Centre in Nimapur village of Pattamundai block on Monday.
Reportedly, the Anganwadi helper locked the centre and left for the day without checking properly that one Sushanta Mallick's four-year-old son Ayushman was left behind in the premises.
Later, when the child did not return home, family members searched the entire village to locate him. They asked the Anganwadi workers and urged them to open the Centre and check again. On unlocking the building, the child was found sleeping inside. He was rescued and rushed to Pattamundai sub-divisional hospital.
As per reports, he was locked in the Centre for about 2.5 hours. Meanwhile, the helper asked for forgiveness and accepted that she had not seen the sleeping child as it was dark and had locked the door.
