Odisha CM Instantly Okays Rs 24.25 Cr For 1195 Rural Projects Of 112 GPs Under 6 Blocks In 5 Districts
Bhubaneswar: Pursuing his regular review and interaction with the rural populace since the launching of Odisha Government’s flagship programme ‘Ama Gaon Ama Bikash’ on March 5 this year at the Gram Panchayat (GP) level and its further implementation at the Block level, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday (July 7) sanctioned total Rs 24.25 crores on the spot for 1195 rural projects of 112 Gram Panchayats (GPs) under 6 Blocks in 5 districts.
The six Blocks are Gurundia and Kuanrmunda in Sundargarh district, Bangamunda in Bolangir district, Bhanjanagar in Ganjam district, Dampada in Cuttack district and Patangi in Koraput district.
While Rs 2.50 crore has been instantly approved for 85 projects of 13 GPs under Gurundia Block, Rs 4.50 crore for execution of 154 projects in 20 GPs under Kuanrmunda Block, Rs 4.50 crore for execution of 310 projects in 26 GPs under Bangamunda Block, Rs 5.60 crore for 198 projects in 22 GPs under Bhanjanagar Block, Rs 4.15 crore for 285 projects in 17 GPs under Dampada Block and Rs 3 crore for 163 rural projects in 163 GPs under Patangi Block.
As has been a part and parcel of the ‘Ama Gaon Ama Bikash’ programme, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik held video conferencing from the State Secretariat with the concerned GPs and Blocks. The elected representatives of the GPs and the villagers presented the developmental schemes of their localities. Then and there the CM accorded his seal of approval and sanctioned the requisite funds from the State coffers.
