Blood Donation Awareness Campaign: Men Set To Peddle From Kolkata To Kanyakumari
Cuttack: Two men on a cycle expedition from Kolkata to Kanyakumari, with a powerful message of ‘Donate Blood-Save Life’, took part in a blood donation camp organized by the Cuttack Marwadi Yuva Manch at the Red Cross Bhawan here on Sunday.
The duo identified as Jaydev Rout and Shivlal Bisra of Jadavpur started their journey on July 1 and will be covering a distance of 5000 kilometres from Kolkata (West Bengal) to Kanyakumari (Tamil Nadu) and back in around 80 days.
"We want to make people aware about the importance of donating blood. We want to send a message of saving life. People should be aware and participate in the noble cause or else, there will be no blood available at the blood banks in time of need," said Rout.
