Odisha Assembly Monsoon Session Day 3: Sapling Scam, Teachers' Strike Ruckus Mars House Proceedings
Bhubaneswar: On the third day of the Monsoon Session of Odisha Assembly, the Speaker accepted adjournment notice moved by Congress over crop insurance but the House was adjourned till 11:30 am as the Congress and BJP members created ruckus over teachers’ agitation and sapling scam.
While the opening day of the Monsoon Session of Odisha Assembly was adjourned till the next day after obituary references accorded to ex-Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, ex-Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee, ex-Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.Karunanidhi and other departed souls, the second day got marred by pandemonium and Speaker Pradip Amat had to adjourn the House consecutively twice from the Question Hour itself. The Finance Minister had to table the Supplementary Budget proposal amid it.
