Bharat Bandh Impacts Odisha, Normal Life Disrupted
Bhubaneswar: The bandh call by the Congress has a widespread impact across the State and capital city Bhubaneswar as the normal life seemed to be out of gear since morning. The business establishments, schools and educational institutions remained closed, and the public transport came to a standstill. Passengers were left stranded in railway stations and bus stands.
There were picketing at various places of Bhubaneswar like Master Canteen, Satya Nagar, Baramunda, Vani Vihar, AG Square etc by the Congress activists.
Hundreds of Congress workers and supporters took to the streets since early Monday in different parts of the capital city.
OPCC Chairman Niranjan Patnaik sat on protest in front of Congress Bhawan with other Congress leaders. The Congress is protesting against the rising petrol and diesel price and make it a grand success.
