Congress Workers Clash With Cops During Fuel Hike Protest In Cuttack

Cuttack: Tension ran high today morning in Gopalpur’s Balikuda square, when Congress workers clashed with the cops while protesting the fuel price hike.

While the soaring petrol and diesel prices are burning a hole in the common man’s pockets, Congress party workers decided to come out on the streets today and vocalize their opinions.

Mohammed Moquim, President of Cuttack City (District) Congress Committee said, “In foreign countries, the prices are around Rs 50-55, why is it more than Rs 80 here? Why has PM Narendra Modi not fulfilled his promises? Today petrol prices have gone higher than Rs 80 and diesel has reached Rs 76. If this continues, the protest that is only limited to Cuttack now will soon spread to other states and then become a nationwide phenomenon.”
