BJD Protests Surging Fuel Prices Across Odisha
Bhubaneswar: A daily two-hour protest till September 9 was launched by Odisha’s ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) across the State against the hike in the petrol and diesel prices during the last few weeks. The BJD activists staged demonstration all across Odisha in a phased manner from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon.
The members of Biju Yuva Janata Dal, Biju Chhatra Janata Dal, Biju Mahila Janata Dal were seen holding party flags and banners and distributing leaflets to consumers at various petrol pumps in the State. They even shouted slogans against the Central Government’s apathy towards the issue.
Notably, the price of petrol has breached Rs80/litre mark and the price of diesel have crossed the Rs 75/litre.
