Odisha Goes Down In ‘Ease Of Doing Business’ Ranking
New Delhi: The tall claims of Odisha Government over the State is now attracting more investments have fallen flat as a new report said Odisha has been ranked 11th among all states in ‘Ease of Doing Business’ ranking.
Odisha has slipped four places as compared to its ranking released in September last year.
Prepared by the Centre in collaboration with the World Bank, the "Assessment of State Implementation of Business Reforms, 2016", is based on a ranking by the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion. While Telangana and Andhra Pradesh were tied at first place with 98.78%, Gujarat the number one slot as it is down by two places to secure the third spot. Interestingly, Telangana has taken a major leap with its ranking at 13th last year.
