Engineering Student Arrested For Depositing Fake Currency

Bhubaneswar: Sumit Ku Tudu, a 2nd year mechanical stream student of a private engineering college here, was arrested by the Khorda police when he was trying to deposit fake currency notes in the main branch of State Bank Of India, Khorda.

Notably, the engineering student had gone to deposit Rs. 2.5 lakhs in his father’s account, out of which currency amounting to Rs 47,000 was fake. The cashier promptly informed the bank manager who in turn alerted the police.
