‘Anjali’: Fete Of Giggles And Chuckles For Differently Abled Children

Bhubaneswar: “My daughter, Aruba Javed (17) has delayed milestone syndrome (a form of mental retardation). I was always worried as to how to handle her or what has the future in store for her. But, here in ‘Anjali’ festival, she is treated an equal. She has made friends here and waits for the festival. I don’t know how to thank Shruti maám. She welcomes such children with open hands. I feel so happy for my daughter as she is enjoying every bit of the fest here,” said an overwhelming Shagufta Zubin, unable to hide back her tears of happiness.
