Lady Armed Cadre Maoist Surrenders Before Rourkela Police, CRPF
Rourkela: A woman armed cadre Maoist, identified as Palo Honhanga, surrendered on Monday (October 31) before the Rourkela Police and 19 BN CRPF. She was carrying a reward amount of Rs 1 lakh on her head as had been announced by the Odisha Government earlier.
Palo of Baliba village under Chhotanagara police limits in West Singhbhum district in adjacent Jharkhand was forcibly picked up by a lady Maoist named Rekha (cultural secretary of the outfit) and inducted her into the fold under the leadership of Chaman in 2012. She was working in Kolhan area of Chaibasa in Jharkhand, police sources said.
