Odisha: Over 8 Quintal Ganja Seized From Onion-Laden Truck In Malkangiri | Odisha News
Malkangiri: Cops of Mudulipada police station today seized over 8 quintals ganja from an onion-laden truck and arrested two persons in connection with the incident.
Reportedly, the ganja worth Rs 40 lakh was being illegally transported from Chitrakonda in Malkangiri to Chhattisgarh’s capital city Raipur in an onion-laden truck. Acting on a tip-off, a team of cops led by IIC Jugal Sabar intercepted the truck near Poda Ghat on Highway and seized the sacks of ganja.
Truck drivers Dipak Sahoo and helper Biswaranjan Sahoo were held in connection with the illegal transportation and further probe into the matter is currently underway.
