Jharsuguda: In an unfortunate road mishap, two persons were killed and several others were injured after a police van collided head-on with a truck at Ganhichowk Brajrajnagar under Belpahar police limits here today morning.

According to reports, as many as 29 police personnel were injured in the road mishap that occurred on NH-49. Sources said that the police van was on its way to Banaharpali and the personnel belonged to OSAP 2nd Batallion. 2 critically injured persons were shifted to Burla Medical Hospital after their condition worsened.

Meanwhile, the other injured persons are being treated at Mandalia and TRL hospital.
