Malkangiri: Taking justice into their hands yet again, a mob was seen thrashing a married woman in MPV-47 village here today morning. The video of the woman being thrashed has been circulating social media and has gone viral after the incident.
According to reports, the married woman was involved in an extra-marital affair with a youth of MV-83 village and that had enraged the locals. The woman was caught with her lover last evening in a compromising situation following which the villagers decided to take matter into their hands.
The enraged mob tied the woman to a pole and brutally thrashed her. On intimation, cops reached the spot, rescued the woman and began a probe in to the matter.
