This was informed by State Agriculture Principal Secretary Saurabh Garg today at the State Secretariat here soon after a high level review on it.

Talking to media, the Agriculture Principal Secretary informed, “Today we held a review of Phase II. We reviewed today on the position of the landless agricultural labourers. In the Phase I, around 4-5 lakh landless agricultural labourers will be provided Rs 5,000 financial assistance on February 15. They are entitled to Rs 12,500 livelihood support each. The balance amount will be given away as per a time table prepared by us.”

He added, “Besides, the small and marginal farmers will get in the Phase II. Their number is around 14 lakh. These beneficiaries will get their assistance by the end of this month, most probably on February 22.”
