Sundargarh: In the run-up to the general elections and prior to the Phase-II polling on April 18 since tribal-dominated Sundargarh parliamentary constituency as well as all its seven Assembly segments will go to poll on that day, BJD supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today made a whirlwind election campaign here.
Initiating his campaign trail from Hemgiri under Sundargarh Sadar Assembly seat, the regional satrap in his electoral speech said, “Sundargarh is the birthplace of hockey and has enhanced the glory of India in the whole world. We had organized Hockey World Cup in Odisha.”
“40 lakh farmers have already benefitted from KALIA scheme. But, the BJP Government at the Centre has conspired to stop this Yojana. Till I am here, no one can stop KALIA Yojana. On the very first day of the new BJD Government formed, the farmers will get their pending two installments of Rs 10,000,” he averred.
