Odisha: Criminal Injured, Nabbed In Police Encounter At Kendrapara | Odisha News
Kendrapara: Hardcore criminal Sheikh Nabi was nabbed after sustaining injuries in a police encounter at Arjunpur under Patkura police limits here early today morning.
Acting on a tip-off, Patkura police and special squad started chasing Nabi at around 4 am and when Nabi fired at the cops to flee the spot, the men in uniform fired in self-defence. Nabi had reportedly gone to deliver guns to his aide when he was intercepted by the police.
Nabi sustained injuries on his leg and is currently undergoing treatment at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack. He is a native of Krishnandpur in Jagatsinghpur district and over 10 cases are pending against him in different police stations, said police sources.
