Phase-I Polls: Technical Glitches Delay Commencement In Voting Process At Several Booths Of Odisha | Odisha News
Bhubaneswar: After detection of technical difficulties in Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), commencement of polling for Lok Sabha and Assembly elections was delayed in several polling stations of the State.
As per reports, polling was delayed in booth -162 at Parabeda High School in Jeypore. Voters queued up and the process began after 45 minutes. Booths in Kotpad and Lamtaput blocks of Koraput also faced similar problems.
30 booths in Malkangiri including Mathili, Korkunda and Kalimela blocks faced technical glitches in EVM due to which the process was delayed, for instance in booth no-100 of MV 11 village. Some EVMs in booths of Umerkote in Nabarangpur district also reported difficulties.
