Bogies Of Bhubaneswar-Delhi Rajdhani Express Uncouple On Kathajodi Bridge, Train Runs After Repairs, Probe Ordered | Odisha News
Cuttack: The engine of Bhubaneswar-New Delhi Rajdhani Express left bogies behind after the coaches B-3 and B-4 uncoupled/detached on Kathajodi bridge here today morning.
Reportedly, the train departed from Bhubaneswar Railway Station at around 9.30 and the mishap occurred at 9:50 am on the bridge following which passengers were gripped with panic.
After uncoupling between B3 and B4, the train was split into two parts- engine was with coaches b/1, b/2 and b/3 and the rest of the train was a separate entity. The train was immediately halted and senior officers from Bhubaneswar coach maintenance depot reached the spot.
After coaches were rejoined, repairs were made and extra precautions were taken, the train ran normally from Kathajodi bridge to Cuttack Station with all passengers safe and sound. The train is also expected to be checked thoroughly at Cuttack before embarking on the journey ahead. "Only after full satisfaction regarding the train condition would the train be allowed to move ahead," stated ECoR.
