Bhubaneswar: Ace shuttler Rutaparna Panda has made it to the Indian badminton team at Tong Yun Kai Cup 2019 to be held in Hong Kong starting today. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik took to Twitter to congratulate the young player.

He wrote, "Congratulate shuttler from #Odisha, Rutaparna Panda for making it to the Indian badminton team for the second edition of the #Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championships to be played in Hong Kong. Best of luck to the team. #TongYunKaiCup2019."

India has been placed in Group B alongside Chinese Taipei and Singapore and the 13-member Indian badminton team is being led by HS Prannoy. The tournament will conclude on March 24.
