Bhubaneswar: It is the 103rd birth anniversary of 'Kalinga Sandha’-cum-legendary statesman Biju Patnaik (5 March, 1916 – 17 April, 1997) today and many political leader paid homage to him.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted, "Remembering Biju Babu on his Jayanti. His noteworthy efforts for Odisha’s development continue to be cherished by generations. He undertook numerous measures for empowerment of the poor and marginalised during his long years in public service."
Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik also took to Twitter and wrote, "I offer my tributes to the Hero of Odisha, freedom fighter and former Chief Minister of the State Biju Babu. He has inspired all classes of society and has contributed to education, textile and industry."
