Cyclone Again Is A Rumour: Odisha SRC
Bhubaneswar: Amid the news of yet another cyclone looming large in tandem with the recent severe cyclonic storm Titli as being spread wildly on social media by some unscrupulous elements, Odisha Government today rubbished it as rumour and warned the rumour mongers not to resort to such criminal conduct.
Odisha Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) Bishnupada Sethi: “Some people are spreading rumours on re-occurance of another cyclone. It’s being spread through Whatsapp, Twitter and Facebook.”
“It’s not true. We’ve already consulted the Weather Department,” he averred. He stated, “We have requested the people through social media not to create panic among the general public by spreading such false and fabricated news.”
