Bhubaneswar: In the case of alleged rape of a young woman in a car in Khurda, the accused was apprehended and the car was seized, said Anup Kumar Sahoo, DCP, Bhubaneswar via Twitter.
The tweet also said that a case has been registered at the Khandagiri Police Station and a probe is underway.
Taking to the microblogging site, the update was posted from Bhubaneswar DCP’s official Twitter handle. It said, “Regarding alleged rape of a lady in a car reported in Khurda, a case has been registered on transfer on point of jurisdiction from Khurda in Khandagiri PS. Accused has been apprehended and car seized. Investigation is on. Senior officers are monitoring investigation.
