Bhubaneswar: This winter there is good news for Mo Bus commuters. Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) has decided to drastically reduce AC bus fares for the coming two months and rationalize the fare structure.
AC bus fare has been slashed up to 38%. The price of monthly passes have also been reduced.
The new fares will come into effect from 1. December 2019.
In a press statement Dipti Mahapatro, General Manager, CRUT informed that the minimum AC bus fare will be Rs 5 for first two kms which is Rs 8 at the moment.
At present the maximum fare of an AC bus trip is Rs 100. This will be priced at Rs. 70 now.
She said that presently AC bus fares are 60% to 140% higher than the non AC buses.
With revised rates the difference between fare of an AC and non AC bus will be only about 30%.
