Bhubaneswar: The Severe Cyclonic Storm ‘Bulbul’ which is about 390 km south-southeast of Paradip is moving north-northwestwards with a speed of 10 kmph for the past six hours. Light to moderate rainfall at most places very likely over north coastal districts of the State with heavy winds was predicted in the latest bulletin by the Regional Meteorological Department.
It is very likely to intensify further till the early morning of 9th November and move nearly northwards before making landfall on West Bengal coasts.
Coming to rainfall predictions, light to moderate rainfall at most places very likely over north coastal districts with isolated heavy to very heavy falls over Puri, Kendrapara, Bhadrak and Jagatsinghpur districts will be experienced today. Light to moderate rainfall at most places very likely over north coastal districts of Odisha with isolated heavy to very heavy falls over Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara and Jagatsinghpur districts and heavy falls at isolated places over Mayurbhanj and Jajpur districts on November 9, i.e. tomorrow.
