Bulbul To Bring Heavy Rains With Strong Winds In Coastal Odisha | Odisha News


Bhubaneswar: Tropical cyclone ‘Bulbul’ which is around 510 kilometres from Paradip intensified into a severe cyclonic storm at 5:30 pm (November 7). While this severe cyclone is not going to make a landfall in Odisha, the state will experience its impact in form of heavy rains and strong winds.

According to a bulletin issued by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) today at 8:30 pm, Bulbul will bring light to moderate rainfall at many places very likely over north coastal districts of Odisha with isolated heavy falls over Puri, Kendrapara and Jagatsinghpur districts on 8th November 2019.

Most places over north coastal districts of Odisha will experience light to moderate rainfall.  Heavy to very heavy falls has been forecasted for Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara and Jagatsinghpur districts and heavy falls at isolated places over Mayurbhanj, Cuttack and Jajpur districts on 9th November 2019,” the IMD stated.
