Forced Burden Of Family Put On Young Shoulders Of Malkangiri Siblings | Odisha News
Malkangiri: At a school going age, circumstances have forced the burden of a family on young shoulders of two siblings at Goudaguda village in Malkangiri district.
Twelve-year-old Bikash Bhumia and his ten-year-old sister Kabita Bhumia have taken the responsibility of their paralyzed mother, a young sister and an ageing grandmother after death of their father.
Axe and spade have replaced books and toys for Bikash, who performs manual labour at various places just to feed his family.
Similarly, his sister Kabita performs the household works including fetching water from borewell, cooking and taking care of their mother Rukmani, who is suffering from paralysis since long.
