Jagatsinghpur: In a horrific incident, the body of a newborn boy packed in a polythene bag was recovered from a ladies toilet in Gynecology Department of District Headquarters Hospital here on Monday morning.
As per reports, a patient’s relative spotted the body when she went to use the toilet in the wee hours. She informed the security guard and nurses, following which the sweeper recovered the body from the toilet. Visuals reveal that there was blood all over the body and the baby’s face was pushed inside the latrine canal.
On intimation, the Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO) reached the spot and began a probe into the matter. Hospital authorities are also looking through the CCTV footage to determine who is behind the crime, said sources.
