Odisha: Orphaned Minor Girl Impregnated By Distant Relative
Koraput: An orphaned minor girl was found pregnant in Dumaguda village under Dasmantapur police limits of Koraput district. Her aunt lodged a complaint against a distant relative alleging him to have impregnated the girl.
The police have detained the accused and are investigating into the case. It is suspected that the accused man lured the girl into a love affair and developed physical relation with her.
Various such cases of minor rapes and minor motherhood have been surfacing in the State over the last few weeks. Even though stricter laws are being enforced in this regard, it does not seem to deter the criminals to go ahead with their ill intentions.
