Jumbo Scare In Odisha: Woman Trampled To Death In Jharsuguda
Jharsuguda: Elephant menace took an ugly turn today in Bhoimunda area under Brajarajnagar police limits as a woman was mercilessly trampled to death by a wild pachyderm.
The deceased has been identified as Bharti Jhadiya (33).
The incident occurred today morning Bharti was leaving her house to begin her daily chores and fell into the clutches of the jumbo. The wild pachyderm, that was roaming stary in the village, trampled Bharti to death.
According to latest reports, cops and forest officials had reached the spot and the future course of action is yet to be decided.
Elephant menace was also witnessed in the silver city as a wild jumbo strayed into CDA area of Cuttack. On intimation, police and forest department officials reached the spot to chase away the pachyderm.
