Cyclone FANI: Special Train To Run From Puri To Shalimar Amidst Cancellation Of 103 Trains | Odisha News
Bhubaneswar: While East Coast Railways (ECoR) cancelled 103 trains and diverted two locomotives on Wednesday in view of the fast approaching Cyclone FANI, a special train will run from Puri to Shalimar for tourists and passengers.
The train having General, Sleeeper, 3A and 2A coaches is scheduled to leave Puri at 12 noon today. It will have stoppages at Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Jajpur, Keonjhar Road, Bhadrak, Balasore and Kharagpur.
The train will reach Bhubaneswar around 1.30 PM and will have reserved as well as unreserved accommodation. It is notable to mention here that the State Government has advised tourists to leave Puri as the cyclone is likely to make landfall in the coastal district.
Similarly efforts are on to coordinate 2 more special trains towards Kolkota today from Puri. Detailed timings are being worked out, informed ECoR officials.
