No Flood Panic, But Administration Put On Full Alert: Odisha Water Resources Secretary
Bhubaneswar: As people of the districts under the Mahanadi river system are on their toes spending sleepless night following the flood water release by Hirakud Dam into the Mahanadi downstream yesterday through 25 gates, Odisha Water Resources Secretary today asked the people not to panic as it would cause no havoc.
He, however, assured that the District Administrations have already been put on full alert since yesterday and have also been asked for adequate precautionary measures besides taking stock of the situation at the ground level.
