Tread On Gandhi's Path, Practise Ahimsa: Odisha CM Exhorts Youths | Odisha News
Bhubaneswar: 'Ahimsa' is the most important teaching to the world which originated in India. It was Ahimsa which made our freedom struggle unique, said Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
Addressing the second meeting of Mahatma Gandhi's 150th Birth Anniversary Committee at Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi, Naveen said, Ahimsa leads to peace, development and equality. He urged the youths to adopt the preaching of the Mahatma in their day-to-day lives.
Mahatma Gandhi's doctrine of Ahimsa said that poverty and social injustice are the biggest form of violence. According to Gandhiji, freedom is meaningless till the time people of our country remain poor," said Naveen.
Poverty cannot be eliminated without Ahimsa. By defeating the forces which divide the country on the basis of caste, religion and colour we can progress, added Naveen.
